Daly Academy- August 2017
August was a big month for me as it was the first time I was actually teaching!
I was super nervous teaching art, but it's going over well. I find all my projects on Pinterest and other teaching blogs.
I started with ripping paper and forming mosaics based of a suggestion of my Allen VAPA partner, Chelice, who teaches Art as it's a good way to release emotions. The students loved it.

8/1: Mosaic Art

8/8: Splatter Paint/Jackson Pollock
I began making my own introductory powerpoints for students introducing the concept and a famous artist who tied into this art.Students responded well to this as it's a good visual and introducing actual real life people who do art.

8/16: Daly Academy Curriculum Night
I was introduced to parents at the Daly Curriculum Night. It was humbling to meet parents who were excited to have art in the school as many of the students are artistic at home.
