8/11- Story Bird (3rd Grade)

The 3rd graders of Ms. Porch and Mr. Brater's class used Story Bird to write a short story about animals. Below are examples of pages from student's books.

8/18 Digital Media PD

I attended a digital media PD to meet and network with other digital media teacher. There's only a select few digital media teachers, literally 3-5 out of the 70 VAPA teachers in the district. I was able to network with Dawn Seiter, the Digital Media Arts Teacher at Chula Vista Hills Elementary. Dawn gave me the cool idea of doing podcasting, something she had done successfully with her students.

8/25- Story Bird (4th Grade)

The 4th graders of Ms. Porch and Mr. Brater's class used Story Bird to write a short story about what time period in History they would live in. Below are examples of pages from student's books. 

8/25- Book Report (After School Program)

8/25 was the first day my after school program met and I had 17 students attend. My goal was for student's to create a book report about their favorite book. Most of the students were able to finish this assignment. 

9/8- Law Enforcement Day (1st Grade)

Sunnyside had their Law Enforcement Day on 9/8. I was in charge of the group of Ms. Cesena's 1st graders leading them to each law enforcement group such as the fire department, bomb squad, and much more.

22 students attended my after school program where we edited the below paragraph.
