1/9- Why is snow white? Mystery Science + Snowy Value Landscapes

I was nervous to do these two projects because they're both two session projects, meaning they wouldn't be able to see a finished product. The students surprisingly enjoyed both projects and weren't upset at all that they didn't have a finished product right away. Both projects had a snow theme for winter and it was also raining that day, the closest thing San Diego has to snow.

I did the Mystery Science Snowflakes as it was recommended by Denise Finney, CVESD's Math and Science Instructional Services and Support Coordinator.

The snowflakes have to dry over night and I was anxious to know if they turned out okay.

I did the snowy value landscapes with students who were all excited to paint. We painted the first 3-4 panels so that next session we can paint the trees and the snow.
